When I was taking it apart, there were 2 wires coming off the same push-on terminal on the coil, that didn't seem to be connected to anything. This engine has run, for a few minutes, since I've had it. I was expecting to find a wire going up to the coil/magneto, but I didn't. I stood back and went huh? Don't the points have to be connected to something? There are 2 wires coming off, both of which end just after getting out of the area where the points are. Then I put a block of hardwood against the end of the crankshaft and gave it a whack with a 2-lb hammer and the flywheel came off. I clamped the engine down to the bench with C clamps, put the clothesline in the plug hole, took a big monkey wrench that would fit over the starter clutch and lodged it against the two big ears and it turned off fairly easy, once I was sure which direction to turn it. I left at about 5:30 PM (Eastern) and just took it off, without seeing some of them until today. For 2 stroke engines, special oil (not the usual 10W-30/40 type motor oil, nor WD40 or 3-In-One!).
